Clinical Case Report Title: Converse Concept: Converse Denture: A New Prosthetic Design for Edentulous Patients. Introduction When it comes to Oral Implantology, edentulous patients have a wide variety of choices. Whether they choose a fixed or a removable prosthesis, both have advantages and disadvantages. Overdentures can be less expensive, have a simpler design and are easier to clean. On the other hand, full-arch implant supported fixed prosthesis are more expensive, require more implants and are more difficult to clean. That aside, patients report that fixed prothesis are more comfortable than removable prosthesis and require less maintenance. Clinical Case Report The Converse Denture uses a Converse Bar, and with this mesostructure we can provide both fixed and removable implant prosthesis to our edentulous patients by using the same structure. Both prostheses use a three-screw system. superstructure we add any axial abutment as the third screw. Conclusion The Converse Denture can easily be converted from a fixed into a removable and vice versa without needing many modifications. Our edentulous patients can try both solutions and decide which one suits them best or even convert their prosthesis eventually if needed. Treatment phase 1: Immediate Dentures for both jaws. Treatment phase 2: Guided Implant Surgery: 6 BLT SLActive implants; Straumann for the maxilla with simultaneous guided bone regeneration and bilateral maxillary sinus floor lift, and 6 BL SLActive implants; Straumann implants for the mandible. Treatment phase 3: an upper Converse Denture and a lower full-arch implant supported fixed prosthesis and occlusal splint.
