Luís Pedro Pereira Azevedo

As the digital dentistry and its myth grows everyday bigger, the dentists and the technicians experience more need for understanding better where the technology stands and to what extent it is applicable to the everyday clinical/laboratory work. This lecture offers a comprehensive explanation of Geneva approach to the use of digital dental technologies from planning to rehabilitation for complex treatments.

Luís Azevedo is a Postgraduate Student in the Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials Department at the University of Geneva. Simultaneously, he collaborates as a researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS-Viseu). Luís Azevedo obtained his Dental Medicine degree from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FMD-UCP), Viseu-Portugal, in 2018. He further pursued a master’s degree in Dental Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, in 2019. He also completed a postgraduate program in implant prostheses at the same institution. Currently, he is enrolled in a PhD program in Dental Sciences, specializing in Digital Dentistry in Restorative Dentistry, at the Dental School of the Complutense University of Madrid. With a keen focus on Fixed Prosthodontics and Digital Dentistry, Luís Azevedo has contributed as an author and co-author to various scientific publications in renowned journals, and as a speaker at national and international conferences.
