More information

The posterior maxillary area often limits implantation due to insufficient bone height. Lateral window sinus lifting is a well-established procedure. However, the most common intraoperative complication is membrane perforation, especially regarding the oblique sinus floor. To reduce the occurrence of complications, the size and position of the osteotomy are critical. Some scholars have proposed the low window technique. However, it isn’t easy to precisely locate the position of osteotomy during the operation, including the fixture’s and the sinus cavity’s positions. Therefore, this case report proposes a CAD/CAM sinus stent combining a soft tissue retractor, fixture position guidance, and sinus window outliner.
