More information

The aim of this presentation is to show which sinus anatomy we can find when a lift of the sinus floor, is made, and see which tools we can use to make our work easier, to achieve a precise surgery in a shorter time and with a better postoperative. The sinus cavity is very complex, it presents different sizes, shapes and anatomic elements, of which we will make focus in two of the most important accidents, that have been carring on problems, till now in this kind of surgery. In this presentation, we ́ll also emphasize which digital and surgical instruments we can use. Between them, the most important will be the time spent in the planification starting from interactive programs. The second point, will be the use of piezo-surgery as the indicated tool for this kind of procediture. The third point, will be the use of surgical guides printed in 3D to transfer the planification for computer to the pacient. The use of this tools will allow us to achieve the planification in the necessary time, without stress; execute the surgery without delay and avoiding complex anatomies as the alveolar antral artery and septus; thus allowing us to prevent hemorrhage, infections, perforation of the sinus membrane, graft loss and postoperative discomfort for the patient.
My name is Maria Victoria Eberhardt, i ́m 32 years old, i live in Santa Fe, Argentina and i ́m passionate about odontology. I had my degree in March 2014, in the ́Universidad Nacional de Rosario ́. Diuring 7 years, I have been working as a profesor in the oral-maxillo-facial surgery and traumatology subject at the same University. Also, during all my carree and some years after getting my degree I worked at the night guard service making surgeries and other emergencies at the same building. I am currently finishing the specialty of alveolar- maxillary and maxillo-facial implantology here too. I heard about ITI through my professors which make me very happy. I took part in meetings and last year they called me to be the co-director of the ́Study Club Santa Fe-Paraná ́. During these years, I received extensive training in prosthetics, orthodontics, periodontics and implantology. Today, I am here with the greatest pleasure and doing what I like so much, as a teacher, learning and sharing knowledge with other people, just as they have helped me.
